Default Babatunde! little Bill Cosby is Babatunde!

i figured it out finally. i meant to post this sooner, but my little buddy's name is Babatunde. i was researching the names of the orphans again the other day and that name just stuck right out. Babatunde Myers. id really like to know what is going on with the orphans these days. ive checked up on them on imdb.com, but there seems to be only one who has been steadily working over the years, since Blues Brothers, Jeff Cahill.
i am looking around for any old photographs that i can scan in. i have no scanner. the fella who found that picture of the orphans and highlighted me did a fantastic job! thanks 440RULEZ!!!! i am looking. i will find em and post em!
i have to tell a really miraculous story...i am a big fan of miraculous stories. sunday, july 29th, i went out to the San Diego Comicon, to hand out a bunch of crisp new "Max Neptune and the Menacing Squid" postcards to comic fans and costumed characters alike. my buddy john walked up to a booth where a man with a mule puppet was hanging out talking to admirers. john handed him a postcard and the man said "hold on a sec! ive heard of this movie! the guy in it was an orphan in Blues Brothers!" i asked him how he heard of the film and he said he was a moderator for the Blues Brothers Central message boards and saw the messages i had left about MNMS. needless to say, Kevin is a fantastic guy, and when you get the opportunity, please check out his websites www.muleythemule.com and www.muleyworld.com
thanks kevin for the autograph, the episodes, and the drawing!

I have so many questions I'd probably love to ask you, but I don't know if that's... imposing too much.

go ahead! ask away! i was only 6 years old at the time, but i do have some memories about it, and talking about it more like this helps with remembering....
my buddy and i were talking about how neat it would be to do a documentary about finding the rest of the Orphans and checking out how theyve been spending their lives over the past 27 years. another idea:
a fictional film about the Orphans finding each other and taking a road trip to find Elwood to help them raise money to build a brand new orphanage in the place of the now defunct orphanage they all grew up in? an orphanage that is heavily influenced by blues and gospel, where all the new Orphans will be taught and encouraged to make music? i figured that might be a magnificent ending. i never use the word magnificent.
if any of you have suggestions, please let me know! it would be neat to get a bunch of your ideas together! what if we all collaborated on this project? let me know. everyone who contributed to the writing/brainstorming will get a writing credit. howsabout that?

I like both ideas, but especially the documentary. The fictional film idea might seem strange if everyone reprises their characters. A bunch of 30+ guys on a roadtrip - sounds like a recipe for shenanigans right there. I think it would turn into a comedy, and I'd be worried it would turn into a Tom Green-style comedy. I don't personally like his style of movies.

Hmm... I just had a thought. If the orphanage was built in Mexico for example, that would very quickly turn the story into something more heartfelt. A friend of mine went down to Mexico recently for two weeks and helped build an actual orphanage down there. It's a very long project that will take several years to complete.

Thanks for the prop's, man! It was super great to meet you and everyone out in Cali! Wish we weren't all so busy to hang out a bit more.

I think it was also pretty cool that one of the stars in the film was from Memphis, where I live now.

Definitely hit up the sites for Max Neptune. Tons o' fun.
So, how's it coming along, Curt?

this is curt again....
wowzers, a crazy story happened that i kept meaning to post for awhile now, which now i am finally sharing. i was driving with my roommate and there was some construction on the road so we decided to take a side street, thinking that it would go straight through to the next major street and we could bypass all this mess. for some reason, we kept coming upon streets that either ended in dead ends, no through outlets, or culdesacs. i was getting very frustrated, then finally said to my roommate..."alright tim, we will just let the street take us where it wants to take us then." moments later, we came upon a big curve in the road which led us to a stop sign. while arriving at the stop, i glanced to the right and noticed something spectacular parked on the side of the street!.....
The Bluesmobile!
it was just parked right there, in front of an apartment complex. i snapped a couple photos with my camera phone. i decided that i absolutely needed to leave this person a note of some sort and take some pictures of this magical mobile. i flew home fast, got my camera and paper, then went back to snap photos of this monumental event!
i left them a note on the windshield, telling them that i was an orphan in the movie and its been 28 years since ive seen it in person, in Chicago. i left them my phone number and email too, but i havent received a reply.
gosh, i hope they call me and let me behind the wheel of that baby!
here they are online for your viewing pleasure!!!

You are lucky to have worked with John Belushi let alone everyone else in that epic movie. I'm excited for you as well because what you did was awesome! ^^
