There is a lot of funny moments in the movie but which is the funniest? The funniest one i think is when Jake & Elwood are in Ray's Music Exchange and Elwood checks out the toaster. Sutle but halarius.
P.S Sorry for the spelling

mhm... I´d have to say when they get to the palace ballroom hotel, they make the entrance and no one applauses... Guess that would be the one.. Oh, and the "Stand by your man" scene, just love waht they do with their arms when they sing...

The mall scene...They are totally ruining this mall and there being all calm like it's no big deal. And of coarse the chez paul scene. Those are my two favorites.

Well, I strapped one of my good friends to a chair and made her watch BB not too long ago - she loved it, of course, but she couldn't stop laughing after the hotel had been detonated and Jake and Elwood just climb out. As though nothing had happened, Elwood checks his watch and says "It's almost nine o'clock... we've gotta get to work." She almost suffocated laughing.
I think the Chez Paul scene - especially throwing shrimps around - was the funniest though, or maybe Elwood's pick-up lines. They just make me melt.

So hard to choose - but I really like:
* The jump over the open bridge near the start of the film. * The Penguin whacking the guys for swearing. * Elwood checking out toaster in Ray's Music Exchange * Elwood and Jake scooping up the scattered coins from the telephone booth after crash landing. * Ray sticking showbill upside down. * Scene with the head guy from Clarion records offering a recording contract (Jake's responses!). * "Car 55. Ah, we're in a truck!" * Travelling up in elevator in the Richard J. Daley Plaza on way to pay tax money. I could go on and on and on and on.........

... Inside Bob's Country Bunker...
Elwood: ... Uh, what type of music do you usually have here? Bar Lady: Oh we got both kinds. We got country and western! I always found the scene with Carrie Fisher reading the manual for the flame thrower to be hilarious... and there is no dialogue at all there! |

I find the entire Chez Paul scene to be hilarious. It's my favorite scene anyway. Just the way they treated the customer and his 'women' cracks me up. I like it when Jake moves over and asks, "How much for the little girl?" And the poor guy can't say anything but, "What?..." Cracks me up every time.

Well I gotta agree that the entire movie is funny!
However, my favorites would have to be: I still wonder to this day, how in the world did they miss hitting the Picasso?

One of the funniest for me is when Elwood takes Jake to his apartment and Jake asks Elwood how often does the train go by? and Elwood responds with "so often you won't even notice" and then every time you see the window a train is going either right of left, in fact, my friends and I have adopted the saying and repeat it often whenever something is repetitous.
