I have to say every single time I see this movie I notice something new.

In the scene where Jake confronts the Good Ole Boys and asks them for their union cards I noticed that as an "official ID" he quickly flashes what seems to be an empty, crushed cigarrette pack.

Watch that scene and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's great.

Why didn't anyone say that when Aretha is singing and Blue Lou is playing the sax that his upper body is cut off while they are filming Aretha.

The one thing I really noticed after watching BB so many times was, and call me crazy, if you look really carefully at Jake when he's looking at the huge crucifix, when the door slams behind him, he actually jumps as if he wasn't expecting the door to slam. You have to watch carefully or you'll miss it. This proves I have nothing better to do with my time

I just noticed that when the hotel explodes, a loaf of bread can be seen flying across Elwood's room.

Yep! Love the polka dotted bag!

I've always noticed that when Trooper Daniel is coming out of the rubble, a couple bricks amazingly seem to stay on the brim of his hat! I chuckle every time I see this. And yes, I know, it's obviously styrofoam prop bricks.

I'm still noticing new things, like when they are going 120 mph in downtown Chicago, you can see from Jake and Elwood's POV that a traffic light is green yet 2 cars go across.

Wow, old threads again! Yay again for random crap on searches!

Anyway, 2 things jump to mind that took me a while to notice. Both involved help from people watching the movie with me at the time(s):

- the jar of Vaseline on Elwood's bedside table.

- when the Nazi Pintos chase the Bluesmobile down an alley, all 3 cars go past an empty 6-pack of beer bottles - all the cars' wheels come within 3 inches or less of the bottles and NONE of them knock the bottles over!

I kinda really just noticed that it's pretty weird that when Jake and Elwood drive away from the rollers for the first time the song in the 8 track stops playing.

I am watching the movie as I type this and it is at the part where they are at Ray's Music Exchange. I always noticed Elwood checking out the toaster, but I did not notice that if you watch Elwood while Jake and Murph are talking to Ray you can see him try out another toaster and then stick the piece of bread back in his suit pocket. That cracked me up.

Okay, yet another...

A couple of years ago I read on imdb that after Jake and Elwood pay the tax bill, the handwritten receipt actually has 1060 W. Addison as Elwood's address. Just a few nights ago my wife and I watched the DVD for, oh, about the 624th time (just in 2006), and for fun we paused on the receipt just to soak in how the Cook County tax assessor didn't recognize 1060 W. Addison.

And we noticed something:

Take a look at who's listed as the person who accepted the payment.

I just noticed that at the Ballroom concert, it looks like Jake is wearing a ring on his left hand on the ring finger, which covers the "K" from Jake. I can't believe I never noticed that.

Oh, how I wish there were a "nose-touch" emoticon, y'know, like in a game of charades.

Yup, the same guy who no longer dines at Chez Paul because he's dead accepted the payment. (Actually, it just says "R. J. Daley," but we all know whom they mean.)

As the Bluesmobile enters Lower Wacker Drive, it passes a "Turn On Headlights" sign. In the very next shot, with what seems like every law enforcement officer in Illinois chasing him, Elwood dutifully turns on his headlights.

Default You Learn Something Every Time You Watch The Blues Brothers.

You learn something every time. Tell us what you've learned.

During the church scene the drummer looks like a zombie or a guy who dosen't move. The cross on top of the church is leaning. Just to name a few.
